At one time the various
professional liability insurer premium costs may have varied
plus or minus 15% from one insurer to another insurer. In
the current physicians and surgeons insurance market the actual premium costs may vary 50% or more.
Today's markets are
price and service competitive. The type of insurer selected
to provide the basic professional liability insurance policy
should be carefully reviewed (for example, Risk Retention
Groups ARE NOT PROTECTED by the Kansas Insurance
Guaranty Association).
